Hello my name is Dr. Jesus Fernandez, a native of West Chicago, Illinois, and i am the owner behind Novo Health & Performance.
My journey began with a passion for community wellness and a commitment to prioritizing one on one, patient-centered care. Through my soccer career and as a collegiate athlete and through many injuries, I noticed that our traditional healthcare system was focused on temporary fixes rather than a preventative care approach.
When it came to understanding why and how the injuries occurred there was no clear answer. Aside from the unclear answers and short appointments with doctors and physical therapists, I found myself doing the same 10 exercises for my low back as the guy next to me. This cookie-cutter approach falls so short in a field with such vast treatment opportunities for patients of different backgrounds and goals.
The curiosity and desire for change led me to continue my education at the National University of Health science, earning my Doctor of Chiropractic Degree. At National, I expanded my knowledge in human movement and biomechanics to understand the how and why to many of our musculoskeletal problems.

We work with all insurances; however, we only bill Blue Cross Blue Shield and Aetna PPO directly. We provide you with the paperwork necessary to submit to your insurance for direct reimbursement! This allow us to provide you with the treatment you deserve and need, without being constrained by what insurance deems necessary. Our number one priority is providing you with the best treatment and care plan specific to you!
